Aberdeen financial adviser boosts team with new appointment

An Aberdeen-based independent financial services firm has made a key appointment to strengthen its services.

Phil Anderson Financial Services Ltd, which was established in 2011, has appointed Derek Robertson as a financial consultant.

Mr Robertson, 26, joins the award-winning team with over five years experience in the finance industry.

After graduating from the University of Aberdeen with a degree in French and international relations in 2010, Mr Robertson previously worked for two well-established financial firms, and also worked on a self-employed basis for an independent practice.

In his role at Phil Anderson Financial Services, which employs a team of seven spread across its offices in Aberdeen, Ellon and Caithness, he will be primarily responsible for financial protection and insurance.

The company, which specialises in mortgages, insurance, investments and pensions, has a strong focus on staff development, and Mr Robertson is also training to become a fully qualified mortgage adviser.
