And finally... parking mad

A parking space located opposite Harrods has gone up for sale for £250,000.

However, the underground car parking spot is too small to accommodate the large cars favoured by customers who are able to afford to park in Knightsbridge.

Space K28 in the Basil Street car park measures 4.62 by 4.57 metres (15.2 x 15ft), which is 3ft shorter than a Rolls-Royce Phantom and 2ft too small to house the new Maserati Quattroporte.

According to the AA, average parking spaces in the UK are 2.4 x 4.8 metres.

Estate agent Knight Frank said the space was “ideally located opposite Harrods” and has 24-hour security coverage.

On top of the sale price, the owner would have to pay £780 a year in service charges over its 82-year lease, The Guardian reports.
