Jumpstart appoints BDMs in key English regions

Edinburgh-based research and development tax relief specialist Jumpstart has announced the appointment of two new business development managers (BDMs) for the South East and South West regions of England.

Bristol-based Denise Anstey becomes the company’s first BDM to be serving full time within in the South West.

An experienced R&D tax credit advisor who has worked within the construction, health, engineering, manufacturing and software sectors, Ms Anstey is also an inventor and entrepreneur who launched the SLIK STIK walking stick. Her design caught the attentions of the Global Women’s Inventors and Innovators Network which honoured Denise at their 2009 awards in the British Female Inventors and Innovators category.

Meanwhile, Chris Barker has joined as Jumpstart’s new BDM for South East England. With extensive experience in financial services, specialising in energy sector funding, Mr Barker also served as Senior Operational Manager at Open Interactive, a technology-focused joint venture set up by Sky and its investors. He has spent 10 years working abroad in Asia, including a spell as a Bachelor of Commerce lecturer at a university in Vietnam.
