Brooks Macdonald to sponsor of L.E.S.C. Brown Cup Scottish Schools Regatta 2019

Hosted by Loch Earn Sailing Club at St Fillans, Perthshire, the event consists of a two-day intensive training camp for children of all sailing abilities on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June.

The training is run by sailors who have previously competed in the Brown Cup and have been trained as coaches through the Royal Yachting Association. During the weekend the coaches share their expertise, giving valuable race instruction prior to the Brown Cup Scottish Schools Championship on Monday 10 June 2019.

The competition is now in its 60th year. Last year it attracted 64 competitors from across the country from 28 different schools. 26 schools have won the competition to date.

Sailing is ideal for helping youngsters stay active but it’s also a great way for them to improve essential physical skills, such as hand-eye coordination, flexibility, strength, and endurance.

I have no doubt our sailors will wear their new sailing vests with pride.”
