Aberdeen entrepreneur launches Visas2 with strategic London acquisition

Neil Thomson – Founder of Visas2

Aberdeen-based Visas2, a newly established company in the global mobility sector, has strengthened its market entry through the strategic acquisition of London-based Visa Group.

The move combines proven industry expertise with technological innovation, bringing together Neil Thomson – founder of Visas2 and a well-known figure in the sector – and Faisal Syed, founder and managing director of Visa Group, who has more than 25 years’ experience in this arena.

With offices in London and Aberdeen, Visas2 offers a tech-enabled, compliance-led service model to support corporates, energy firms, travel management companies and others in navigating visa, passport and documentation requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

The acquisition establishes an immediate presence in key markets and creates a strong platform for future growth. While the initial focus is on organic expansion, further strategic acquisitions have not been ruled out as the business develops.

Visas2 delivers responsive, secure passport, visa and travel document services – including document legalisation – with a clear focus on regulatory alignment.

Supporting global mobility, executive travel and time-critical movement, the company offers end-to-end solutions through smart systems, specialist insight and a network of more than 80 trusted global partners as well as those in the legal sector.

The launch consolidates over 80 years of combined experience and sets out to raise the standard in short-term immigration and other services. With features such as real-time application tracking, API integrations, and a hybrid model that blends automation with expert input, Visas2 is positioned to provide agile, transparent services tailored to client needs.

Mr Thomson, co-managing partner of Visas2, previously built and sold Aberdeen-based The Visa Team to a global provider and has more than 20 years’ industry experience. He said: “This strategic acquisition provided the ideal foundation for launching Visas2.

“It gives us access to experienced staff and an established presence in key markets. The response from the market has been outstanding.

“Clients are looking for a more streamlined, co-ordinated approach – one that integrates with their workflows and delivers measurable value. Visas2 fills a clear gap, and we’re energised by the opportunities ahead.”

Mr Thomson’s focus includes scalability, systems integration and aligning services with client operations, particularly in energy, marine, finance and global consultancy.

Mr Syed, co-managing partner of Visas2, said: “Clients want simplicity without compromising on compliance. Our model delivers both.

“High visibility, tighter controls and a nimble approach mean we can help clients move quickly while remaining fully aligned with immigration regulations and documentation standards. The opportunity to help shape Visas2 from day one is a compelling next step, and I’m looking forward to what we can achieve.”

Mr Syed will continue to lead delivery, ensuring client relationships are supported by modern systems and tailored, sector-specific services.

Global demand for immigration and visa services is rising sharply, with the market projected to exceed £30 billion by 2032 - a trend that underscores the need for agile, compliant solutions like those offered by Visas2. Demand for visa outsourcing services is also expected to nearly double in the next five years, driven by digitalisation, rising global mobility, and the trend toward outsourcing.
