Aberdeen firm scoops prestigious national adviser award

Aberdeen-based Acumen Financial Planning has been announced, for the second consecutive year, as the winner of Citywire, New Model Adviser of the Year Award - Scotland & Northern Ireland Region.
The New Model Adviser Awards held annually in London, were hosted this year by comedian and impressionist Rory Bremner at the Park Plaza Hotel earlier this month as part of the annual New Model Adviser Conference 2018.
The awards, now in their 13th year reward the top financial planning firms across the UK.
Entrants are judged on the previous 12 months on business performance, processes, professional qualifications, client education and communication, charity work as well as recruiting and developing new talent in the Financial Services Profession.
On winning the award, Acumen director David Gow said: “Winning the award for the second year in a row is a huge honour and is a reward for the endeavours of every single member of our team. The financial planning profession has developed significantly over the last few years and Acumen Financial Planning are proud to be recognised as one of the leaders in this evolution. ”
The latest accolade follows on from previous successes for Acumen Financial Planning, notably being awarded the prestigious Accredited Firm of the Year from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) in 2016.
