Aberdeen-based Acumen Financial Planning has been awarded the ‘New Model Adviser of the Year Award - Scotland & Northern Ireland Region’ for 2017.

The accolade follows on from Acumen’s recent winning of the prestigious Accredited Financial Planning Firm of the Year 2016 award from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment at the annual Financial Planning Conference in October.

Acumen, which began providing financial planning services in 2002, has offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Elgin and Peterhead.

The firm’s latest achievement came at the New Model Adviser event which recognise the best firms in financial planning across the UK.

Entrants are judged on business performance and processes, professional qualifications, client education, communication, recruitment and involvement in the Financial Planning profession.

Acumen directors Keith Mackie and David Gow attended the event held this month in London and hosted by guest speaker Gyles Brandreth.

Mr Mackie, who based at the firm’s Aberdeen office, said: “It is a real credit to everyone at Acumen Financial Planning to win this award, hard on the heels of winning Accredited Financial Planning firm of the year. This particular award casts the net wider across the whole of the financial planning community and so provides us with further confirmation that we are providing an excellent service to our clients. We strive to be the best and the continued dedication and hard work of all the staff has once again been recognised.”
