The newly-opened hotel at Hamilton Park Racecourse has marked a milestone for Allied Irish Bank (GB)’s hotels and leisure team as they clocked up £55 million of investment in Scotland’s tourism sector in the past 12 months.

The £10 million Hampton by Hilton at Hamilton Park is the latest hotel to receive backing from AIB (GB) in Scotland, after the team won the bid to work with the developer.

Danielle Dunn, business growth manager in the hotel and leisure team at AIB (GB) Scotland and North East England, said: “Hampton by Hilton at Hamilton Park represents a sound investment for the bank and a fantastic addition to the growing portfolio of businesses that we have the privilege of working with.

“Hampton by Hilton is a recognisable brand and this is a high-profile site. Our decades of working with both hotel and racing sector clients meant we were a great fit to support the development project.”

“Scotland’s hotel industry is booming and, as a niche, sector-focused bank with a specialism in the hotel and leisure areas, we have become an attractive choice of banking partner for developers and operators.”
