Amy Burnett joins HSBC Innovation Banking as regional coverage director

Amy Burnett has been appointed regional coverage director for Scotland and Northern Ireland at HSBC Innovation Banking.
The bank is a specialised global banking division designed to support start-ups, scale-ups, growth companies, and venture capital investors. In her new role, she will be responsible for maintaining a consistent physical presence and building strong local venture capital, start-up, and founder connections across both Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Burnett joins from KPMG, where she worked for more than eight years as its head of private enterprise access and emerging giants lead - Scotland. She was responsible for delivering KPMG’s annual Tech Innovator in the UK competition, supporting activities in the market, and Scale Up Scotland.
Burnett also represented the Big Four accountancy firm on panels as a judge and in the media for expert comment on issues. Prior to that she was a manager with KPMG at its Glasgow office.
Revealing the move on LinkedIn, she wrote: “I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined HSBC Innovation Banking supporting tech and life sciences founders and investors across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
“The past week have been a whirlwind of meeting colleagues and learning how we can bring maximum value, network, and support to the local tech community.”
