A rare Botticelli portrait could sell for $80 million in an auction at Sotheby’s today.

And finally... Bought-icelli

The extremely rare ‘Young Man Holding a Roundel’ by Sandro Botticelli is believed to have been painted around 1480 and is one of around twelve portraits attributed to him. It is one of the few paintings in private hands.

The seller is reported to be the estate of the late property billionaire Sheldon Solow, who bought the piece in 1982 for $1.2 million, CNBC reports.

The work will be part of Sotheby’s “Master Paintings & Sculpture” sale today.
