And finally... gotta cash 'em all

Influencer and WWE wrestler Logan Paul is set to test the upper limits of the alternative investment market by auctioning what he describes as the “Holy Grail” of Pokémon cards.

The item in question is a rare Pikachu Illustrator card, notable for being the only copy in existence to receive a perfect 10 grade from the Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA). Mr Paul originally purchased the unique collectible in 2022 for a record-breaking $5.3 million and famously wore the slabbed card around his neck during wrestling competitions.

Mr Paul intends to put the card up for auction in early 2026, projecting a final hammer price between $7m and $12m. If the sale reaches the upper end of his estimate, he stands to realise a profit of nearly $7m. This aggressive valuation reflects a broader trend where collectibles occasionally outperform traditional equities. Market data indicates that Pokémon cards have appreciated by over 3,000% in the last two decades, a statistic Mr Paul is banking on to validate his high-stakes investment strategy.
