A beach hut in the Welsh holiday hotspot of Abersoch has gone on the market for more than £200,000 — roughly the same as the average house price across Gwynedd.
The recently rebuilt hut boasts private decking and sweeping sea views, but despite the six-figure price tag, it has no running water or electricity.
Estate agents say its rarity and prime beachfront location make it a sought-after spot for storing paddleboards, beach gear and enjoying summer sunsets, The Telegraph reports.
The listing has sparked disbelief online, with some social media users calling the asking price “crazy” and comparing the hut to an expensive shed. Even so, beach huts in Abersoch have a history of attracting hefty sums, reflecting the area’s popularity with holidaymakers and second-home owners.
Potential buyers have until July 1 to submit their best and final offers.
