And finally... microscopic fashion

A microscopic handbag, painstakingly modelled on the Louis Vuitton’s famous OnTheGo tote, recently fetched a staggering $63,750 (around £50k) at an auction hosted by Joopiter, an online auction house established by Pharrell Williams.

Uniquely crafted by the New York-based art collective MSCHF, the handbag measures a mere 657 by 222 by 700 microns or less than 0.03 inches wide, rendering it practically invisible to the naked eye.

The minuscule marvel, produced with two-photon polymerisation 3D-printing techniques, displays a bright neon-green hue and is adorned with the characteristic ‘LV’ monogram. Despite its size, which is smaller than a grain of salt, the handbag sparked considerable interest due to its quirky design and the novelty of its creation, CNN reports.

This microscopic creation, according to MSCHF’s chief creative officer Kevin Wiesner, encapsulates a comedic twist on the fashion industry’s preoccupation with increasingly smaller handbags, transforming a once functional object into an ornamental piece akin to jewellery.
