Banksy’s Show me the Monet painting has sold for £7.5 million at auction.
The artists’ reimagining of Claude Monet’s impressionist water lilies was sold at a Sotheby’s event in London on Wednesday after a near nine-minute battle between five bidders.
The painting fetched £7,551,600 against an expectation of between £3.5m and £5m, The Guardian reports.
