And finally... speedy action

Three Ferraris have been seized from a business suspected of seeking to evade VAT responsibilities.

Danish authorities took the unusual enforcement action against the Copenhagen-based company amid escalating efforts to tackle tax evasion in the country.

In a statement, the Danish Prosecution Service said the cars had been transported to a secret address until a possible criminal case is raised.

Michael Lichtenstein, deputy police inspector, said: “It’s our experience that suspects often try to conceal their valuables when they know the police has started an investigation against them.”

Prosecutors have also seized real estate equity and hundreds of thousands of pounds in the same investigation.
