And finally… taxing

The UK’s first Vagina Museum has suspended merchandise sales to the United States, citing prohibitive costs caused by new American trade tariffs.
The London-based museum, which raises crucial funds through its online shop, said a 10% baseline tariff has made shipping its products “untenable”. Items affected include themed postcards, magnets, and tea towels featuring the female anatomy.
In a statement, the museum expressed sadness over the decision, which makes “small purchases of treats prohibitively expensive for us as a charity, and for our friends across the pond”. While US orders represent a small fraction of sales, they confirmed “these sales will be missed nonetheless”.
The pause took effect on 17 September 2025 and will be reviewed at the end of October. Sales to the UK and other international destinations are unaffected, The Telegraph reports.
Founded in 2017, the Vagina Museum in Bethnal Green operates as a free-to-enter charity dedicated to exploring themes of the body in science, art, and culture. A recent fundraiser secured its East London location, raising £70,000 in just six days.
