And finally… travel anxiety

Berlin’s public transport company has introduced cannabis-infused tickets which have a “calming effect” when eaten by passengers.

BVG, which operates the U-Bahn, tram, bus and ferry systems in the German capital, said the special tickets are made from edible paper sprinkled with three drops of hemp oil.

The oil comes from cannabis seeds but does not contain THC, the psychoactive component in cannabis, and is therefore “completely legal”.

A spokesperson for BVG said: “This way you can travel hassle-free around Berlin all day and then simply swallow your Christmas stress along with your ticket.”

The cannabis-infused day tickets cost €8.80 each (about £7.50), DW reports.
