Jemma Richardson, Edwina de Klee and Sara Jalicy of Anderson Strathern

Jemma Richardson, deputy head of the firm’s residential property department, is appointed a partner, while Edwina de Klee joins as purchase & new business manager.

Jemma Richardson joined Anderson Strathern from Simpson & Marwick at the beginning of 2020, expanding the firm’s client base since then as deputy head of residential property, working alongside partner and head of residential property Sara Jalicy. Ms Richardson has extensive experience on the purchasing and sales sides of the high value residential property market in Scotland. Ms Jalicy and Ms Richardson are both former winners of the Rising Star of the Year category at the Scottish Legal Awards, in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

Edwina de Klee joined the firm as Purchase & New Business Manager in June from London-headquartered Garrington Property Finders, having previously held roles at Grant Property as associate director for investment, as a manager at Douglas & Gordon, and as Sales Negotiator at Savills earlier in her career. Ms de Klee brings experience of working in the prime and investment markets in both Scotland and London.

Sara Jalicy, partner and head of residential property at Anderson Strathern, commented: “Our mission is to build the best residential conveyancing team in Scotland, and the appointments of Jemma and Edwina us closer to realising that ambition. The appointments strengthen our offering at a time when we’re experiencing rapid growth.

“The market has been remarkably buoyant throughout the pandemic, in part as many city dwellers make the move to country living. The team also recently secured its first public sector residential tender contract, so however the market develops through the second half of the year, we are set to remain incredibly busy.”
