Brightwork Group doubles capacity with move to new Glasgow city centre premises

Brightwork Group, the Scotland-wide recruitment specialist, has doubled its office capacity by securing a 10 year lease on 4,774 square foot premises at 193-199 Bath Street in Glasgow city centre.

The rental per square foot will be £12 and occupation is expected to take place in September 2015.

The first floor office space, which will involve the company spending over £100,000 in fit-out costs, can accommodate up to 60 staff and doubles Brightwork’s present capacity at its St Vincent Street premises where the lease expires in December this year.

Brightwork is expected to take up occupancy at the new site next month.

Director, Anthony Knight, said: “We have been steadily growing the business and, as new people have joined, we have reached a point where we are severely constrained by space.

“Alongside the capacity to double staff numbers, we will enjoy five meeting rooms, two break-out areas and a training/ board room, and will have the ability to increase the size of the business, as we expect to do, over the coming months and years.

“As well as creating a high quality environment for our colleagues and visiting job candidates, we are particularly pleased to have a state-of-the-art training room which we plan to use to develop the skills both of our own people and those of our candidates who are seeking employment, not least in the care sector.”

Brightwork’s advisers on the transaction included Thomson Property Consultants, Graham & Sibbald, Chartered Surveyors and Harper McLeod LLP. The fit-out is being undertaken by Thistle Systems.

Brightwork, which employs 60 people, was established in 2006.

Turnover in 2014 was £32.65m and pre-tax profit was £916,000.
