Brooks Macdonald announces investment director promotion

Edinburgh-based investment management firm Brooks Macdonald has today announced the promotion of Michael Barr to Investment Director.

Mr Barr joined the firm, which has over £11.7 billion in funds under management for clients in the UK and internationally, in 2013 and manages bespoke discretionary portfolios on behalf of a range of clients.

He is also part of the AIM Portfolio Service management team and sits on the UK stocks research team.

The firm said Mr Barr was promoted due to his “performance and demonstration of key competencies, along with broad investment product knowledge and aspects of portfolio construction, and his understanding of investment strategy and asset allocation”.
