Brooks Macdonald strengthens Scotland team

Brooks Macdonald has made three new appointments to strengthen its team in Glasgow and Edinburgh. 

Ross MacNish joined the Brooks Financial team in Edinburgh as principal financial planning director on 14th September. 

Mr MacNish brings joins the firm following 17 years at RBC Brewin Dolphin where most recently he was a senior financial planner divisional director, known for 

Stephen Lawler will join as senior investment director in Glasgow as of March 2027. His career  in wealth management spans almost 20 years, where the last 15 years have been spent at Evelyn Partners in Glasgow as managing partner.

Mr Lawler’s clients include private individuals and families, IFAs and intermediaries, small pension schemes, charities, and trusts. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI).

Matt Waddell was appointed as senior investment manager in Glasgow as of March 2027. In his role as  associate director at Evelyn, and during his eight-year career there he’s managed portfolios for private clients, trusts, charities, and clients of IFAs. He is also a Member of the CISI and a Chartered Wealth Manager.
