Buccleuch Property boosts portfolio with Slough warehouse acquisition

The Slough warehouse

Edinburgh-based Buccleuch Property has extended its reach into the retail warehouse market with the acquisition of Halfords’ retail warehouse in Slough.

This purchase builds upon the company’s investment strategy, which includes the 2022 purchases of the West Retail Park in Uddingston and Colchester Retail Park.

The Halfords property is ideally situated on Slough’s primary retail warehouse pitch, Bath Road, which has been a hotbed of redevelopment activity. The location’s proximity to the M4 motorway enhances its appeal, along with the active urban regeneration in the surrounding area.

Angus Lutton of Buccleuch Property said: “We continue to seek investment opportunities in asset classes with good rental growth prospects across core U.K locations and which provide opportunities in the future.

“This is a great addition for the portfolio, providing secure income from a national retailer in a retail warehouse market where supply continues to tighten.”

Griff Lewis of Cushman & Wakefield acted for Buccleuch property and Avison & Young advised the vendor.
