Burges Salmon boosts Scottish pensions team
Richard Knight
The pensions and lifetime savings team at Burges Salmon has grown its practice by over 100% in three years and increased its headcount by 50% in 18 months, the firm said.
This national expansion has been mirrored in Scotland, where its team has seen sustained growth, with four new team members joining over the last seven months.
Late last year solicitors Charlotte Docherty and Megan Bruce joined the team, together with Jaimie Buchanan, who supports the Scotland and UK-wide wide team and their clients as a practice development lawyer.
In January this year the team welcomed Teuta Jahdaut-Nerjovaj, an experienced Glasgow-based associate, who joined from Pinsent Masons.
Commenting on the past 18 months, Richard Knight, partner and head of pensions at Burges Salmon, said: “The past 18 months have been a period of real momentum for our pensions team, as we’ve invested in talented people across all levels to meet growing client demand.
“Our expansion reflects the trust clients place in us to deliver clear, practical advice on some of the most significant and complex matters in the market. With game-changing legal and regulatory reforms on the horizon, we’re ready to support trustees, employers and public bodies through this next phase of change.”
