BAM Properties has announced that Centrica, the multinational energy company, has agreed a lease for 24,000 sq ft of office space at Two Atlantic Square in Glasgow.

The deal sees Centrica take occupation across the first and second floors of the building, further bolstering its status on the regenerated waterfront and central business district.

Two Atlantic Square, a joint venture between BAM Properties and Taylor Clark Limited, offers 97,000 sq ft of exceptional, highly specified Grade A office accommodation and is home to a number of leading professional services, engineering and technology occupiers, including Burness Paull LLP, Siemens, AtkinsRéalis and BDO.

Sustainability was a key consideration in the design and development of the building, which has achieved BREEAM Excellent and EPC ‘A’ ratings. Environmental features include solar PV panels, a green roof and beehives, alongside extensive active travel infrastructure such as electric vehicle charging points, 180 secure cycle spaces, showers and changing facilities.

The building has also recently undergone upgrades to its reception area and Business Lounge, enhancing the arrival experience and providing additional collaboration space for occupiers. Ground floor retail and restaurant units are also due to be filled in the coming months, further strengthening the amenity offer for tenants.

Euan Miller, managing director at BAM Properties, said: “We are delighted to welcome Centrica to Two Atlantic Square. The building has been designed to deliver high-quality, sustainable workspace in one of Glasgow’s most prominent business locations, and it is encouraging to see such strong demand from leading organisations.

“Centrica will be a fantastic addition to the building’s growing business community.”
