CHAP (Holdings) Limited, the parent company of CHAP Group, has posted gross profits of £9.3 million for the year ended 30 September 2025 – a 40% increase from the £6.6m reported in the previous period.

This financial milestone accompanies a record-breaking turnover of £65.8m, highlighting the continued expansion of the group as it reaches the midpoint of its ambitious ten-year growth strategy.

The group delivered an improved underlying operating performance, with operating profit before fair value movements rising to £1.1m. The cash position has also strengthened to £3.9m and net assets now total £11.6m.

Investment in human capital has seen average employee numbers grow to 183, providing the expertise necessary to support an expanding project portfolio across Scotland.

Managing director Hugh Craigie said: “We are pleased to report another record year for turnover, alongside a stronger underlying operating performance. These results reflect the expertise of our people, the quality of our delivery, and the strength of our forward workload.

“As we enter the second half of our 10-year growth strategy, we are investing in the systems, talent, and capacity required to support sustainable growth, strengthening our presence across Scotland, including a renewed focus in Edinburgh.”

The past year has been defined by operational growth, including the successful integration of A&A Holdings Limited and its subsidiary, A & A Civils Limited, following its acquisition in late 2024. The move has supported the Chap Group’s civil engineering capabilities and driven efficiency gains.

To accommodate this larger scale of operations, CHAP relocated to new, expanded headquarters in late 2025. As the company celebrates its 50th anniversary in February 2026, the directors maintain a positive outlook, underpinned by a healthy order book and a commitment to sustainable expansion across the Northeast, Tayside, and beyond.
