The award-winning company, whose clients include Lochcarron of Scotland, The Whisky Barrel, ETB Technologies and Celtic FC, specialises in e-commerce development, support and design and marketing, including PPC, SEO, digital marketing and training and consultancy.

The company was established in 1999 and formerly known as Channel 6 Multimedia before current owners, managing director, Kate Little and technical director, Ewen Cameron, bought it over in 2008.

After completing the first-ever Women in Business (WIB), Growth Programme, run by Business Gateway Edinburgh and launched by the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon earlier this year, Ms Little who has a team of 16 development, design and marketing experts, has been creating a strategic plan to take the agency to the next level, which includes growing the team by 16 to 24 in 2020.

Ms Littlem, who is also a member of the Scottish Government’s ministerial trade board, said: “We have experienced a huge amount of growth in the last quarter and anticipate that this expansion is set to continue in all areas of our business from marketing and design to development and consultancy work, which is testament to the fantastic team of experts we have onboard and the ongoing support we’ve received from organisations like Business Gateway.

“The WIB programme really did come at the right time, as it provided me with the tools to plan the business strategy over the next five years and also gave me the opportunity to build my network with other entrepreneurs across all different sectors.”

Susan Harkins, head of Business Gateway Edinburgh who designed the WIB programme, added: “It’s great to see entrepreneurs like Kate Little, Managing Director of Digital Six, gain so much in terms of knowledge, skills and growing her network through the WIB programme and putting all the learnings into practice to help the business reach its full potential.

“Digital Six’s plans to take on eight new staff is fantastic news and I wish them a very bright and prosperous year ahead.”
