Continuing its series of rapid acquisitions, Edison Group has bolstered its portfolio by acquiring Linlithgow-based Cabin Scotland Limited in an all-cash deal.

The acquisition is viewed as a strategic move to enhance its diversified property services.

Cabin Scotland, which offers design and build services, specialises in residential and non-residential cabins across Scotland. Their offerings range from garden rooms, Scandinavian-style cabins, and glamping pods to bespoke wooden structures and joinery manufacturing.

Commenting on the acquisition, Calum Melville, CEO of Edison Group, highlighted that integrating Cabin Scotland’s operations would enable them to manufacture up to 200 cabins annually.

He added that the deal provides clients with “one provider for build and design” and other services, and that “Edison Group is now, I believe, the only genuinely integrated provider in Scotland”.

Edison Group now employs over 100 individuals and projects that by December 2023 it will achieve a rolling twelve-month turnover of £50 million. Supporting its expansion, the firm recently opened its new head office in Irvine.

Mr Melville continued: “We remain firmly in the market to acquire businesses that are complementary to our group activities and continue to invest substantial sums to build an infrastructure and platform to drive growth over the next few years.

“Our consistently expanding capability includes construction as main contractor, project management, architectural services, bespoke joinery, furniture manufacture, interior design, interior fit out, all trades, driveways, landscaping, property maintenance and refurbishment.”
