In this role, Ms Young will establish and grow a dedicated risk assurance practice in the region, with a particular focus on public sector clients.

Ms Young brings nearly 20 years of expertise in risk assurance and audit. Her career spans senior in-house roles and, as a consultant, she has delivered outsourced internal audit services for public sector organisations, as well as commercial and third sector clients.

She said: “Leading the development of Forvis Mazars’ risk assurance practice in Scotland is an exciting chance to create something new that truly embodies our values – delivering exceptional results for clients, providing outstanding opportunities for our people, and fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture.”

Ms Young is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). She is also a member of ICAS’s Audit and Assurance Panel, bringing an internal audit perspective to support the panel’s work on advancing audit quality and best practice.
