FD paid more than CEO at Aggreko

The finance director of Glasgow-based temporary power generator supply giant Aggreko has been paid more than its chief executive.

The contents of the annual report for the largest supplier of temporary power generators in the world show that Heath Drewett received a remuneration package worth almost £2 million in 2018 compared with the £1.7 million Chris Weston, 55, was paid.

Mr Drewett, 53, joined FTSE 250 group Aggreko in January 2018 as finance head from WS Atkins.



More than £984,000 of his remuneration for last year was made up of compensation for leaving his previous employer.

He also took home a salary of almost £459,000, an annual bonus worth £407,100, a £92,000 cash payment in lieu of pension contributions and other benefits worth almost £19,000.

Mr Weston’s £1.7 million package included a £750,000 salary and £651,000 bonus.

There was a £225,000 payment in lieu of pension contributions and extra benefits worth more than £26,000.
