Finance director appointment for Paisley construction firm

Paisley-based building firm City Gate Construction (CGC) has announced the appointment of Gary Tracey as finance director.

Previously financial controller at CGC, Mr Tracey has been with the business for just under two years.

He brings a wealth of experience gained from senior finance and commercial positions covering a 35 year career within various sectors including construction, retail and banking.

Announcing the news, managing director Leo Reilly said: “This is an important appointment for the business. Gary brings huge expertise and professionalism to the role in addition to his connections within construction and the wider business community.

“In addition to becoming Finance Director, Gary’s brief to manage the financial and corporate services activities of the business will continue.”

CGC continues to perform strongly within the construction industry and late last year revealed it had expanded into England having completed a large scale transformation of a landmark building in Bradford, West Yorkshire into student accommodation.

A new office now exists in Preston and last summer a further base was opened in Ayr. Earlier this month CGC was named Renfrewshire’s “Employer of the Year.”
