Helen Page, former chief brand officer of Clydesdale Bank owner Virgin Money UK, is set to join Edinburgh and Toronto-based Label Sessions as chair of the board.

Label Sessions, a global platform with the mission to connect business leaders to “the best advice from the most interesting people”, aims to expand its reach and impact under Ms Page’s guidance.

Ms Page serves on a portfolio of boards in the UK including the Artisanal Spirits Company, which had its IPO in 2021. She was previously chief brand officer of Virgin Money UK, having joined what was at the time Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank Group in December 2012, and was part of the executive team to complete the IPO of the bank in 2016.

Ms Page had previously spent 8 years at RBS in a number of roles, including Managing Director for Marketing and Innovation and held responsibility for all UK brands across Retail, Commercial and Corporate divisions. She was also a brand and marketing leader at Argos, and Abbey (now Santander).

Ms Page said: “Label Sessions has a big mission and a lot of potential to grow into a company with huge impact. Everyone and every business needs advice, and the best advice comes from people who have walked the walk in leadership, not just read about best practice.

“I’m excited to formally take on this role, having worked with the founding team since the early days of the concept, and to put the structures in place to build Label Sessions into the global company it has the potential to be.”

Label Sessions co-founder and MD, Nick Sherrard, added: “Label Sessions is a company built around a belief in the power of great advice. So we’ve always known that we would need that at the board table too.

He continued: “We’re hugely excited that Helen is joining us as Chair. She brings the experience and challenge we will need as we seek to grow our brand globally, and to ensure that our mission-led business can have the impact we want it to have over the coming year too.”

The platform offers 1:1 online conversations, called Sessions, where clients can access advice, mentoring, and ideas from established leaders in business, design, and technology. Users can revisit the recorded and transcribed Sessions and even transform them into podcasts or other formats to share with their teams.

Currently operating between Toronto and Edinburgh, Label Sessions works with clients across the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe.
