Clara Jackson

Grant Thornton has appointed a new wealth advisory manager as part of a focus on growing its specialist services in Scotland.

The business and financial adviser has recruited Clara Jackson who will based in its Glasgow city centre offices, but work with clients throughout the country.

Ms Jackson, who is a Chartered Financial Planner, has more than 12 years’ experience providing tailored independent advice to individuals and businesses across Scotland.

Her appointment builds on Grant Thornton UK’s strategy of developing its wealth advisory service, offering bespoke support to individuals, families and company owners looking to build, protect, realise and invest their wealth.

She said: “There’s a bit of a buzz at the moment about Grant Thornton’s unique approach to both growing its business and working with clients, and that’s what excites me about joining the team. The firm’s focus on innovation and putting its own people at the heart of its growth strategy seems to be paying off and I can’t wait to play a role in shaping its positive future. I’m also looking forward to putting the extensive experience I’ve gained over the years to use with a diverse range of clients, working as part of one of the best teams in Scotland.”

Derek Blaik, who leads the firm’s wealth advisory team in Scotland, added: “Clara’s combination of extensive experience and a warm personality are the perfect fit to help us grow our team and client base in Scotland. Wealth Advisory is an incredibly personalised service and understanding the needs, challenges and aspirations of your clients is key to your shared success. Clara’s joining us at an exciting time in the growth story of Grant Thornton in Scotland and we’re all really looking forward to welcoming her on board.”
