Henderson Loggie advises Esk on £2.6m funding round
Rod Mathers – Head of corporate finance at Henderson Loggie
Henderson Loggie’s corporate finance team has advised immersive entertainment and technology company Esk on its £2.6 million funding round led by Maven Capital Partners, with capital provided by the Maven VCTs and the Investment Fund for Scotland.
The firm guided Esk through a transaction it views as a signal that institutional investors are increasingly recognising the value of IP-led creative companies, a sector that drives more than 5% of UK GDP but has historically faced limited access to capital.
With Esk’s business model spanning multiple territories, long-term licensing arrangements and complex production logistics, Henderson Loggie’s role centred on articulating both the creative vision and the commercial fundamentals in a way that would satisfy institutional capital requirements.
Rod Mathers, head of corporate finance at Henderson Loggie, said: “Esk is a standout example of the kind of IP‑rich, globally scalable creative business that investors increasingly want to back.
“The team has built a compelling international proposition, underpinned by strong partnerships, proprietary technology and a clear strategy for long‑term value creation.
“Our role was to help translate that ambition into the financial clarity and investment readiness required for institutional capital. We’re delighted to have supported the business through this milestone and to see further momentum behind growth‑stage investment in the UK’s creative economy.”
