Independent accountancy firm Henderson Loggie has been appointed on all four Lots within the Audit Services Framework (PFB1028AP) by the Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC).

APUC is the procurement centre of expertise for all of Scotland’s Universities and Colleges, established to ensure quality services and value for money for the sector.

The Audit Services Framework (PFB1028AP) covers internal audit, external audit and specialist and UK and international tax services and Henderson Loggie have been ranked top of Lot 3 – External Audit for Universities and Non-incorporated Colleges.

David Archibald, director and head of Henderson Loggie’s public sector and internal audit team, said: “It is great news to be recognised for the quality of service and value we provide. Our inclusion on the framework reinforces our position as one of the leading providers of audit and taxation services to the public sector in Scotland and the expansion of the framework to include the provision of internal audit and taxation services to NHS, local government and Scottish Government bodies is an exciting development given the range of relevant experience within our team.

“I am delighted that we have been ranked top for External Audit Services because one of the options now available to Universities and Non-Incorporated Colleges is to appoint us directly without the need for a mini-competition exercise. This is particularly relevant given the inclusion of Student Association’s and European Grant work within the new framework because these are sectors where we are traditionally very strong.”

The Framework Agreement will run for three years with an option to extend by a further twelve months.
