High demand sees Turcan Connell expand in Glasgow

Turcan Connell is more than doubling the size of its Glasgow office due to rising client demand in the city.

The business already offers its full range of services from 149 St Vincent Street. Its new premises will be directly across the road at 180 St Vincent Street.

The Glasgow team includes partners Peter Littlefield (tax and succession), Noel Ferry (divorce and family) and Jack Gardiner (business law), as well as land and property specialist Stuart Gibb.

Mr Littlefield, who heads up the Glasgow office, said: “Client demand has been rising in Glasgow - especially since we have been able to offer our full range of services in the city after hiring Jack and Stuart within the last two years.

“It was clear we needed to move to larger premises and although the physical distance involved is short – just a hop across St Vincent Street – this is a significant step-change in our business footprint and our ambition in Glasgow.

“It’s not just about being able to accommodate more staff, but it is offering a high-quality central base for all our team to meet Glasgow clients and contacts.”

Simon Mackintosh, chairman of Turcan Connell, said: “We see big opportunities for the private client market to grow in Glasgow and we want to take advantage of that as part of our strategy to offer the highest-quality legal and tax advice.”

Eric Young & Co advised Turcan Connell on the transaction while Ryden/JLLacted for the landlords, Northwood Investors.
