Invest in Angus launches new grant for SMEs

Invest in Angus has launched the Angus Innovation and Growth Business Grant, a new funding opportunity is designed to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Angus and drive economic growth in the region.
The scheme is funded by the UK government’s Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered by Angus Council.
The grant aims to encourage employment and business growth, business sustainability, the adoption of innovation, and the transition to net zero in Angus.
Funding is available for projects that align with Angus’ key priority themes:
- Innovation and diversification
- Workforce skills development
- New or expanded business premises
- Transition to net zero
- Market and trade development
Applications are invited from businesses in manufacturing and engineering, agri (including food & drink), clean growth renewables, and tourism and golf. Applications from other sectors will also be considered.
The grant is open to registered SMEs within Angus Council boundaries with fewer than 250 employees. Sole traders are also eligible to apply.
Eligible businesses can apply for:
- Small grants: £3,000 – £10,000 (10% match funding required)
- Large grants: £15,000 – £50,000 (25% match funding required)

Applications are now open, with submissions closing at 5pm on Friday 26 September 2025. All funded projects to be completed by February 2026.
