Investec Wealth & Investment (IW&I) has strengthened its investment team in Edinburgh with the appointment of Catriona Livingstone to the role of associate investment director.

In her role at the firm, Ms Livingstone will provide investment management services to private clients, charities, trusts and intermediaries primarily across Edinburgh and the surrounding region.

Prior to joining IW&I, Ms Livingstone was with Tcam Asset Management (bought by Seven Investment Management in 2018) for just under nine years, having started her career as a trainee investment manager in October 2010. As a Private Client Manager, she looked after in excess of £100 million for a wide range of clients including individuals and charities.

Ms Livingstone has a First Class Honours degree in Business Studies and Accounting from the University of Edinburgh.

She holds the Investment Management Certificate and is a CFA charter holder. Her appointment means IW&I’s Edinburgh office, which is headed up by Murray Mackay, IW&I’s executive director for Scotland, now has over 35 qualified investment professionals.

She said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Investec Wealth & Investment, one of the strongest names in wealth management in Scotland and the UK. The firm is benefitting from strong organic growth and I am greatly looking forward to further building its book of clients in Edinburgh, in Scotland as well as across the UK.”

Murray Mackay, executive director - Scotland, IW&I, said: “We are continuing to invest and build on the strong momentum we have across the Scottish market for the benefit of all our clients. Investec Wealth & Investment continues to attract high calibre employees and I’m delighted to be announcing Catriona as the newest member to our team.”
