Taking place from 19-30 June, the EIFF is the world’s oldest running film festival and celebrates the very best of cinema. With a diverse programme of film premieres, exclusive screenings, special events, workshops and masterclasses, the festival attracts local and international audiences of all ages.

Johnston Carmichael are supporting its ‘In Person’ series, which will see a number of events with live interviews from those in the industry, offering a unique insight into the world of film.

Director Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire), actor Jack Lowden (Dunkirk, Mary Queen of Scots) and writer, director and actor, Pollyanna McIntosh (The Walking Dead, Darlin’) are included in the line-up.

Mark Stewart, managing partner at the firm’s Edinburgh office, said: “We have a real focus on our people at Johnston Carmichael, so teaming up with EIFF on its ‘In Person’ series is a perfect partnership for us.

“We believe that investing in talented people, who are dedicated to taking on a centre-stage role, is key to success in business, much like in the film industry. We are very excited to be partnering with EIFF and are looking forward to a great couple of weeks.”

Ken Hay, chief executive of EIFF, said: “We are delighted to welcome Johnston Carmichael on board supporting our ‘In Person’ series of events. Filmmaking is by its nature a collaborative process and hearing first hand from leading filmmakers about their experience is always a privilege.”
