Link Group has once again secured a long-term “A with a stable outlook” rating from Standard & Poor’s (S&P) Global Ratings, a significant mark of confidence in the group’s financial health and its commitment to social housing across Scotland.

The latest report underscores Link Group’s solid financial footing and its track record in delivering high-quality social housing, recognising a strategy that effectively balances stability with ambition.

Link Group director of finance and business services, Nick Pollard, said: “For Link, this rating is more than a financial benchmark; it maintains the foundation on which we deliver essential homes and services.

“It ensures the group can continue supporting tenants and communities while progressing the work that underpins its social mission, in particular developing new social rented homes.

“Furthermore, it recognises our ongoing work to maintain and enhance the quality of our existing homes through major component replacements and vital carbon net zero investment.

“As Scotland’s second-largest landlord, ensuring solvency, viability, and sustainability is always a priority. While this rating supports that position, there remain challenges on the horizon for the sector which we will need to respond to appropriately.”

S&P’s rating assessment also outlined Link’s strong focus on financial control, strong rental demand, alongside its near-term ambitions to develop a significant number of new social rented homes as key strengths.
