London Stock Exchange report identifies Scotland’s 38 most inspirational companies

38 Scottish companies have been named this week in London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report, recording a 40 per cent average annual revenue growth rate and generating total turnover of £1.5 billion.

Companies come from across Scotland, including six companies based in Glasgow (60 per cent average annual revenue growth rate), five companies in Edinburgh (36 per cent) and four companies in Aberdeen (36 per cent).

Featured Scottish companies include:

  • Angus Soft Fruits – Leading supplier of berries to UK and European retailers.
  • Axis Studios – An animation and visual effects firm.
  • Innis & Gunn – Brewing company producing craft lager in Scotland.
  • Wester Ross Fisheries - One of the oldest independently owned salmon farmer in Scotland

The report identifies the UK’s most dynamic and fastest growing Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs). This year’s report features companies from a diverse range of sectors and regions, reflecting the entrepreneurial drive seen across the country. Over two-thirds of the companies appear in the report for the first time, while six firms are making their fifth consecutive appearance.
