Lorraine Kelly’s firm posts £2.2m profit

The company handling the affairs of Scottish television presenter Lorraine Kelly’s has posted profits of more than £2.2 million for the last 12 months.

Accounts for the day-time TV favourite’s company show the 56-year-old ITV stalwart’s firm boosted its profits by more than £400,000 last year.

The healthy return means her firm Albatel, set up with her husband in 1992, now has total assets of £2,595,307.



That includes £1,056,846 held in a bank account, £1,372,988 owed by debtors and an investment portfolio worth more than £165,000.

After paying off creditors, the company made profits of £2,238,965 – up from £1,821,002 the year before.

As well as TV work as host of her eponymous Lorraine morning chat show on ITV, she has published books on dieting and makes personal appearances.

Last year also saw her release a fitness DVD on top of her own clothing range with retailer JD Williams.

The former journalist, who joined TV-am as Scotland correspondent in 1984, and now lives in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, with her husband and daughter Rosie, 21, commutes to London for work - a trip during which see was recently injured after falling on the tarmac at Dundee Airport.

She suffered cuts and bruises but recovered in time to present her show on Monday morning.
