Manolete Partners appoints leading Scottish insolvency lawyer

Rachel Grant

Manolete Partners, the UK-wide insolvency litigation financing company, has announced the appointment of Rachel Grant to lead its Scottish practice.

Ms Grant’s appointment is the latest development in Manolete’s rapid regional expansion strategy and further enhances its status as the UK’s leading specialist insolvency litigation finance company. It also follows a successful IPO on the London Stock Exchange (AIM) in December 2018.

With over 25 years of experience in insolvency law, Ms Grant joins Manolete from leading Scottish law firm Brodies LLP, where she worked for 11 years.

Recognised as one of Scotland’s leading insolvency lawyers, she has a top tier ranking and was inducted into the Legal 500 Hall of Fame.

She is also a member of the R3 General Technical Committee and Scottish Technical Committee (which she chaired for over ten years).

She is a member and former chair of the Law Society Insolvency Accreditation Panel and was a member of the Law Society of Scotland’s Corporate, Banking and Insolvency Committee for over 20 years and represented the Law Society on the Joint Insolvency Committee.

Steven Cooklin, CEO of Manolete Partners, said: “I am delighted to welcome Rachel to Manolete. She has unique experience in the sector and her close working with Insolvency Practitioners will be instrumental in our efforts to further expand our rapidly growing presence in the Scottish insolvency market.

“At the time of our IPO, we pledged to use it as a platform to accelerate our regional growth plans, which we have done through a series of key strategic hires. Rachel’s appointment is testament to our rapid progress in achieving this goal in Scotland. Her expertise in the sector complements our highly experienced team of lawyers across the country, demonstrating the appeal of our highly tailored and well-respected insolvency litigation financing model within the market.”
