Maven strengthens Scottish team with two new portfolio directors
Nicola Holloway and Andrew Leslie
Maven Capital Partners has strengthened its Scottish presence with the appointment of Nicola Holloway and Andrew Leslie as portfolio directors.
Based in Glasgow, both Ms Holloway and Mr Leslie bring extensive corporate finance expertise to the firm, further enhancing Maven’s capacity to support the scale-up ambitions of regional businesses.
Ms Holloway joins from The Weir Group, where she served as corporate development manager since 2023, supporting the group’s M&A strategy and execution. Prior to this, she spent 12 years at Grant Thornton, building extensive experience advising owner-managed and private equity backed businesses on corporate finance transactions.
Mr Leslie joins from Scottish investment firm N4 Partners, where he was investment director since its inception in 2020. He previously worked at PwC in corporate finance and is a Chartered Accountant with significant experience advising entrepreneurs, management teams and investors.
Maven’s Scottish Investment team actively invests across the country, supporting growth focused companies with the potential to scale, create jobs and deliver long-term value. The team deploys capital through a range of Maven managed funds, including IFS Maven Equity Finance – one of a series of Nations and Regions Investment Funds launched by the British Business Bank – helping to increase the availability and diversity of growth capital for Scottish companies and backing those that may not otherwise access investment.
David Milroy, partner at Maven, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nicola and Andrew to Maven. Both bring excellent investment and corporate finance experience and are highly complementary to our existing team.
“We now have a team of 12 investment professionals which underlines our long-term commitment to Scotland and our belief in the quality and depth of opportunity across the region. Maintaining a strong, locally based team is fundamental to our regional led approach and allowing us to work closely with the management teams we proudly support.”
