North east financial adviser strengthens team with double appointment

Aberdeen-based independent financial services firm Phil Anderson Financial Services Ltd has made a double key appointment to strengthen its workforce following an increase in demand for its services during the past twelve months.

The company, which was established in 2011, has appointed Kevin Philip as mortgage adviser, and promoted Rebecca Shiel from administrator to office manager.

Mr Philip, 32, who has worked in the oil and gas sector for a number of years, gained his mortgage adviser accreditation within the space of three months following a career change and joins having recently completed his training.

In his role at Phil Anderson, which employs a team of seven spread across its offices in Aberdeen, Ellon and Caithness, he will be primarily responsible for mortgages and protection.

Meanwhile, Mrs Shiel, who has worked for the company since its founding, has been a huge influence in bolstering the company’s profit margins and increasing its client base, the firm said.

Phil Anderson Financial Services, which specialises in mortgages, insurance, investments and pensions, was recently named the winner of the Best Customer Service category by the Best of Business Awards 2015.
