Pinsent Masons has completed its relocation to new offices at the Aurora development in Glasgow.

The international law firm has taken possession of more than 31,000 sq ft of Grade A office space at 120 Bothwell Street in the city’s business district, which will accommodate around 260 lawyers and support staff.

Aurora, owned by Forma Real Estate, is regarded as one of Scotland’s most sustainable office developments and the move represents a significant investment by Pinsent Masons, reflecting the firm’s continued confidence in the city as a major UK business and financial centre.

The building incorporates biophilic design principles alongside a wide range of occupier amenities including a 4,000 sq ft rooftop terrace, auditorium and town hall meeting space, flexible collaboration areas, a podcast studio, wellness and fitness facilities and enhanced cycling and changing facilities.

Barry McCaig, partner and head of Glasgow at Pinsent Masons, said: “We are delighted to strengthen our decades-long commitment to Glasgow by taking possession of these first-class facilities at Aurora.”

The move was delivered in partnership with Aurora’s development manager, HFD Property Group, a long-standing client of the firm which was central in facilitating the relocation.

Mr McCaig added: “We have created a workspace that supports collaboration across all our teams while ensuring we have a base that will serve the firm well in delivering for clients for many years to come.”

Pinsent Masons managing partner, Laura Cameron, added: “We continue to invest in the global infrastructure needed to support 4,000 staff working across 30 international locations, which this year has included opening our first office in Poland and our third in China.

“As a Glasgow-based lawyer this latest investment is close to my heart and I am delighted my colleagues will have at their disposal one of the city’s finest office facilities.”
