Premier Milton fund manager Hugh Grieves announces plans to retire after more than three decades in the industry.

Mr Grieves co-manages the £253m Premier Milton US Opportunities fund and the £10.4m US Smaller Companies fund alongside Alex Knox and Aditya Khowala.

He joined Premier Milton in 2013 following two-years at Herald Investment Management. Before that, he spent more than eight years at Societe Generale Asset Management and five years at Gartmore as an investment manager.

Mr Grieves made the announcement on LinkedIn stating he is “now looking forward to living a life that’s not dictated by market opening hours, Presidential tweets and quarterly earnings reports”.

His departure is the latest to leave Premier Milton following Nick Kelsall who left the firm after 25 years following the restructuring of its multi-asset investment team.
