Rathbones expands into new Glasgow office
Rathbone Investment Management has announced the opening of a new office and “important hub” on Glasgow’s Nelson Mandela Place.
The provider of discretionary investment management services for private clients, charities and professional advisers has moved into new premises at The Athenaeum, 8 Nelson Mandela Place, in Scotland’s largest city.
The new base increases the company’s presence in Scotland and complements its established operations in Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
Regional director Angus Kerr, a key figure in the Glasgow investment management sector with over 18 years’ experience managing client portfolios, will lead the office.
He is to be supported by investment director Lindsay Strachan, investment managers Lorraine Bryceland, Andrea Hanley, and Grant Pinkerton, assistant investment manager Stephanie Savage, administrator Elita Nanson, and financial paraplanner Alanah Fleming.
The team will be joined by a further six individuals over the coming months.
Philip Howell, chief executive of Rathbones, said: “We are pleased to announce the opening of our new office in Glasgow, which will act as an important hub alongside our existing offices.
“We are delighted to welcome such strong and experienced investment professionals. For our clients, a personal relationship with their investment manager in their local office is essential and we are now delivering this to clients in Glasgow.”
David Macaulay, regional director in Rathbones’ Edinburgh office, added: “The opportunity to bring the Rathbones’ client experience to Glasgow is a significant development for us.
“Under Angus’ leadership, our new team will be able to offer the superior investment management and service that we are renowned for and which our clients rightly demand. We look forward to becoming a significant part of Glasgow’s professional services market and the broader city community.”
