RBS makes Aberdeen flit

Marischal Square, Aberdeen

Royal Bank of Scotland has announced that it is moving its main presence from the west end of Aberdeen into the heart of the Granite City.

The still majority state-owned lender said it will move from its base on Albyn Place to Marschial Square on Broad Street in August.

The move will make Edinburgh-headquartered RBS the eighth business to sign up for space at the £107 million complex, following companies including Aberdeen Journals and Mackie’s.

Mark Gall of RBS said: “Marischal Square is an important development for Aberdeen and Muse’s investment in this site provides the city with office space that reflects the needs of modern business.

“Relocating here ensures our corporate and commercial teams remain in the heart of the city centre and alongside some of the region’s key employers and organisations.”
