R&D tax relief specialists appoint new business development manager

Edinburgh-based UK R&D (research and development) tax relief specialist Jumpstart has appointed Martin Gartley as its new business development manager for west and south of Scotland.

Based in Glasgow, Mr Gartley will focus is on identifying new clients and promoting the opportunity for innovative businesses to benefit from viable R&D tax relief claims.

With two years in a similar role with a competitor R&D advisory firm, Martin also brings a broad range of career experience to Jumpstart, having previously worked in the energy, waste management and banking sectors.



Commenting on Mr Gartley’s appointment, Jumpstart’s managing director Scott Henderson said: “It’s great to welcome Martin to our team. He has an ideal blend of R&D experience and a diverse background in some of the key industry sectors which can most benefit from our expertise. His appointment comes as HMRC has tightened its scrutiny on R&D tax relief claims, making the need for our in depth knowledge more essential than ever.”
