Renfrew portfolio swells to 126,000 sq ft as Easdales close deal with Peel Waters

Land at Meadowside Industrial Estate

Scottish businessmen brothers Sandy and James Easdale have expanded their industrial holdings in Renfrewshire with the acquisition of Meadowside Industrial Estate.

The deal, secured for an undisclosed sum, includes 76,000 square feet of prime industrial space and seven acres of land.

This latest acquisition increases the Easdale portfolio in Renfrew to over 126,000 square feet and brings a strong close to the group’s 2025 activity.

The newly acquired industrial estate sits adjacent to the Renfrew bridge, which opened in May 2025. Breck Property Consultants helped to broker the deal.

The site has been acquired from regeneration specialists Peel Waters, who own a large commercial, residential and industrial development portfolio across the west of Scotland and along the Clyde. Most of Peel Waters’ Scottish development is concentrated in ‘Glasgow Waters’ which is one of the largest regeneration projects in Scotland and sits a few miles from the Renfrew site.

The acquisition further strengthens the Easdale family’s strategic footprint in Renfrewshire and underscores their continued confidence in the region’s economic potential.

Property firm Bowman Rebecchi is supporting the overall letting and management of the group’s expanding industrial portfolio.

The Easdale’s latest purchase is positioned adjacent to other Easdale-owned sites at Neil Street Industrial Estate, which is also home to Clyde Metal Recycling, also owned by the Easdale family.

James and Sandy Easdale

Sandy Easdale said: “Securing an additional 76,000 sq ft at Meadowside Industrial Estate aligns perfectly with our long-term strategy for Renfrewshire.

“We are pleased to conclude this deal and expand our presence in a location where we already have strong, established interests. The units, along with excellent tenants such as StageHire Scotland, represent another high-quality addition to our broader portfolio.

“This acquisition rounds off another strong year for our group. We continue to evaluate a range of opportunities across the UK and remain committed to investing in assets that support local employment, stimulate business growth and deliver long-term value.”

James Easdale added: “Our growing footprint in Renfrewshire reflects our confidence in the local economy and the wider industrial market.

“Meadowside Industrial Estate is a well-established hub with strong occupier demand, and this acquisition strengthens our ability to support the businesses operating there.

“We are proud to continue investing in assets that underpin long-term growth for the region.”

Brian Lavalette, property director for Scotland at Peel Waters, said: “We’re really pleased to complete on the transaction with the Easdale brothers.

“This is the fourth deal Peel Waters have done with Sandy and James and we commend them on how swiftly and professionally they have worked with us on this sale. We look forward to seeing the progress of the site and wish them the best of luck with their future plans.”

With this acquisition, the Easdale brothers now hold a substantial cluster of industrial assets across Renfrewshire, complementing their national investment strategy and supporting their growing commercial management operations.

The Easdale business empire continues to diversify across property, construction, transportation, manufacturing and leisure – an expanding portfolio that includes major development projects across Scotland.

Current residential and commercial schemes led by the group have a combined estimated value of £850 million.
